Adrenaline rush in Hawaiʻi
Justin Lam is an award-winning 2D animator & artist based in NYC.
He graduated from School of Visual Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA Animation 2025), and is currently freelancing and teaching art. He specializes in FX animation, with additional proficiencies in graphic design, print & merchandising, and office work.
He began in the world of fine arts at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School, where he was later introduced to design and architecture. Ultimately, he decided to enter the realm of animation because it allowed him to intertwine aspects of these disciplines. His attention to detail especially remained prominent, from tracking complex debris to animating ambitious sequences.
Aside from art, you can find him lap swimming and longboarding, as they remind him of the thrilling adventures he once had outside the city!
