3 LAYERS OF BUTTERFLIES
To add depth to this transition, I animated different groups of butterflies with varying quantities and speeds, with a touch of frame offsetting.
» Foreground Group: Flies past the camera fastest, but leaves a trail of particles that dissipate the slowest for contrast.
» Midground Group: Slow enough to capture some wing flapping.
» Background Group: Needed to cover the majority of the screen for a successful transition. Limited by this requirement, I shifted my focus towards the outlines to create a detailed silhouette (as seen in the next GIF).
